Hi loves! June 21st is Father's Day and I'm super-duper excited because this year will be my fiance's first Father's Day to celebrate. Hey, usually it's the baby's firsts we're celebrating so we'll take our own when we can get them ;)

This year I wanted to celebrate a new dad - my fiance (although I absolutely love my dad!). Anthony has really been the anchor in our lives. I think all new moms can relate that those nights of no sleep + cranky baby = a large cup of coffee and break time for mom and I'm so thankful that Anthony understands that and helps out as much as he can instead of running for the hills. Every day he comes home and cooks dinner, does odd jobs around the house and watches the baby while I get my blog on. Guys, he even handles dirty diapers. How lucky am I? The best memory (so far!) of him being a dad has been the day Hunter was born. Anthony completely took over and was changing diapers in the hospital and everything.

But what do you get said anchor when he has everything?

I really wanted to get something that ties in everything that he likes. Not only is he big into wearing cologne but he also loves boats (and fishing on them!).

On a trip to the mall, I popped into Macy's to browse around for ideas. I eventually settled on getting him a cologne and spotted the Nautica Life Cologne Gift Set! Not only does it smell amazing but it incorporates Anthony's love for boats so it's an all around win/win. I also had a great experience at the cologne counter. The man helping us even brought it up to the counter for me while I looked around. How sweet is that?

The Nautica Life Gift Set ($65) is a $128 value. It comes with 2.5 fl oz. after-shave balm, 3.4 fl oz. cologne and a 1.0 fl oz cologne for on-the-go and a cute travel-sized shower gel. Nautica Life is a composition of freshness, mysterious herbal flavors and seductive woodsy notes. Honestly, it's a man's man cologne and perfect for Anthony! How cool is that "rope" in the bottle?

Want to make Father's Day extra sweet? Don't forget to enter the giveaway below. One lucky person will win a $4,000 Cruise Package while five other lucky winners can win a Nautica's Men Fragrance Gift Package! Must be 18+ to enter.

Makeup Revolution | I Heart Makeup Lip Lavas in Tremor, Forgiven, Shockwave, Unleash & Firestorm

Hey cutie pies! I am SO excited (when aren't I?) to share these babies with you. These are the Makeup Revolution "I Heart Makeup" Lip Lavas! What's that? Their packaging looks kind of familiar? That's because it's very reminiscent of the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipsticks. One would even say a dupe for them? In fact, Makeup Revolution has a whole bunch of dupes/lookalikes for a lot of Too Faced products (as well as some super unique products!). Unfortunately, I don't actually own any of the Melted lipsticks (I admit, I suck) so I can't compare but I can promise some in-depth reviewing so you can decide for yourself. Let's do this thang!

So first things first. Makeup Revolution is from the UK. I know, I know. Shipping, however, does even out with how much you're saving buying those dupes instead of the real thing. *Shrugs* So there's that?

The Lip Lavas come in a squeeze tube with a soft, sponge applicator. The consistency is a little thick but so smooth and easy to work with. I think that's the Vitamin E in it making it all creamy to work with. All of them have incredible pigmentation of a lipstick and the intense shine of a lipgloss. Shockwave and Firestorm are actually even glossier, if that's possible, than the others. What's pretty awesome is that one swipe pretty much covers both lips without having to squeeze more product out! I am so unbelievably impressed with these, guys. For $4.59 each, you really can't go wrong. I was going to pick out my absolute must-have from this group but to be honest, they're all pretty incredible. Wear time is about six hours and the gloss does kind of wear down but I wouldn't say it loses its pigmentation. Also, no scent or taste to report which is kind of weird in a beauty world where everything has a scent. It's kind of refreshing!

  • Forgiven - a brown-toned nude (dupe for Nude?)
  • Unleash - a neon coral tangerine. (dupe for Coral?)
  • Tremor - a bright ballet pink. (dupe for Peony?)
  • Shockwave - a neon lilac. (dupe for Violet?)
  • Firestorm - a bright cherry apple red. (dupe for Ruby?)
Overall: Putting that they may be dupes for the Melted Liquified Lipsticks aside (which is always a win in my book!), these are ah-mazing! I am such a huge fan of them. The consistency, the applicator, the wear time, the colors themselves - just amazing! I highly recommend you guys treating yourselves to these babies!

BoxyCharm | May Box - Bold & Beautiful

It has been a long time since I've reviewed a subscription box so I'm SO happy to announce that they're back for a little bit with BoxyCharm! I know this is going up a little late but better late than never! I promise the June box will be up ASAP.

BoxyCharm is a beauty subscription that comes to your doorstep every month with 4-5 full size luxury items for $21 a month. While that might sound a little more expensive than other subscription services, consider that you're getting guaranteed four full size products every month while compared to Ipsy where it's only $10 but they're usually smaller samples. The promise of full sized products alone totally got me hooked on it!

Let's check out May's box!

Lauren B. Beauty Nail Polish in #imjuicing ($18) - Can we talk about how freakin' cute that name is? Now I want a smoothie. In all serious though. This color is IN-SANE. I know I read that a lot of girls weren't happy with the color but I'm in love. It's totally something I would rock. "Like kiwi sloshed with apples, this slick little shade is delicious and bright."That describes it perfectly!

The Lip Bar Lipstick in Kiss Me ($20) - This. Packaging. Is. EVERYTHING! Can all lipsticks come like this? Kiss Me is a stunning neon coral. Unfortunately, I didn't get to play with it much besides a quick swatch on the arm because it fell out onto the floor and smushed. So bummed. I tried to salvage it and put it back in the tube but it fell out again and that was the end of that.

This lipstick contains Vitamin E, shea butter and avocado oil to moisturize and soften your lips.

Model Co. Bronzer Shimmer ($22) - YASSSS! Love, love, love this! It's a great bronzer for summer. Pigmented and finely milled, I feel like this is just perfection. It does have shimmer which I know makes or breaks it for some but I feel like it's subtle. This picture does however lighten and saturate the true color. It's a bit brighter but not orange.

---
Bodyography Essential Brow Trio + Brow Brush ($19 each) - I was excited to see a brow powder trio in this box (plus a brush!?). The colors are very pigmented and a little goes a very long way. Using the brow brush, I usually start in the middle and concentrate the majority of the color there and then use the left over on the edges of my brows. I also love that there's a shade for basically everyone.

Overall: I'm VERY impressed with this month's BoxyCharm. Did I mention each product is full size? Oh yeah, baby. Everything was something I would use. Minus the mishap with the lipstick, I still find myself using something from the box at least once a week.

Maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette | Swatches + Review

Ah, it's so nice to catch up on some blogging. I have been absolutely drooling and DYING to get this post out after I spotted this palette in my Rite Aid Network's box.

The new Blushed Nudes Palette is the latest in Maybelline's 12 pan palette series. Previous palettes include The Nudes (review) and The Brights. This palette is a bit more softer and feminine than the previous two with shades ranging from pinks to plums to rose gold.

Something I didn't notice on The Nudes Palette was that the shades are placed purposely in the palette to work together as you can see above. That is SO genius and really handy! The quad covers a base for the lid, an all-over lid shade, a transition shade and an outer-v shade. The trio handles everything minus the outer-v and the duo covers just a base and transition shade. Basically, there's a whole lot of options here.

Instead of going through each shade and reviewing them individually, I'll just sum them up all together. They pretty much all performed the same minus a few shining stars I'll get to at the end. The color payoff was just alright although I do think they work the best with a primer/base underneath. The mattes were a bit powdery but had okay color payoff. The metallics, on the other hand, were surprisingly pigmented! The biggest downside, for me, is that they don't have names! Rawr. I hate that. How else am I going to tell people what I'm wearing!? ;)

My favorites are (going from left to right) #'s: 3, 4, 6 and 8.

Lid: #5 | Crease: #4 | Inner: #3 | Outer v: #11 | Lower: #6

Overall: So does this compare to a lot of the rose gold toned palettes out there? Eh. It's hard to tell (and compare). For a drugstore palette, it does well. It works best with a primer or base to really get the colors to pop and wears well. It's really a toss up. If you're looking for a good palette that won't break the bank, I recommend this!

So, will you be grabbing this palette?

BITE Beauty Fall 2015 Frozen Berries/Opal Crème Collections - Swatches+ Review

It may be the middle of summer - but really there's no way better to cool down than with a sneak peek of BITE Beauty Fall '15 Frozen Berries/Opal Crème Collections coming out in July!

The Frozen Berries Collection is five limited edition matte creme lipsticks inspired by "the depth and luster of flash frozen wild berries". They're infused with Blueberry and Cranberry seed oils that are rich in phytonutrients and help nourish and moisturize your lips as well as organic fruit butters to promise a creamy, long-lasting, never drying matte color.
  • Juniper - a matte dark fuchsia.
  • Elderberry - a matte dusty cool-toned burgundy.
  • Barberry - a stunning matte cool-toned dusty mix of mauve and lilac.
  • Plum - a matte rich reddish plum.
  • Black Cherry - a matte deep brown-toned blood red.

(L-R: Barberry, Juniper, Plum, Black Cherry + Elderberry)
Swoon, swoon, swoon! These have me dreaming of crisp nights and warm sweaters. Can fall hurry up and get here? I kid. Kind of. The entire collection is basically everything I could ever want in a fall-based matte lipstick collection. The formula is out of this world. They're so creamy. Each one just glides over your lip, camouflaging all of your lip lines. The pigmentation from these babies is out. of. this. world. Seriously. They're so packed with pigment, it blows my mind. Lastly, they're long-lasting. Each one hitting the five hour mark (and possibly beyond!). Honestly, I only got to about five hours with each because I wanted to get this collection out to y'all fast but I can promise at the five hour mark, these babes were still going strong. I do have to point out that Elderberry did move a bit for me. It's that creamy that it kind of slips and slides over the lips a bit but I kind of feel that that happens more frequently with super dark shades like that anyway. Elderberry was the only one I had this issue with. It really didn't bother me much but I will note that it did happen.

The Opal Crème Collection is a lipgloss and lipstick with insane multidimensional facets to them. The lipstick can be worn on its own for a frosty, iridescent look or on top of another shade for an ultraviolet look. The lipgloss can also be worn on its own for a super slick but subtle iridescent oil spill effect or over another shade to add some dimension to it.

(Excuse the pink lips in the gloss photo. This was after swatching all the lipsticks!)
Doesn't that Opal lipstick scream Ice Queen to you? Love it! The Opal lipstick was fun to wear but boy did it ever settle in my lip cracks. Even ones I didn't know I had! It wasn't drying and had somewhat of the same formula as the Frozen Berries but it didn't end up applying the same. Bummer! The gloss is gorgeous but was slightly thick and sticky. Hopefully my stained pink lips give you a sense of what it looks like over pigmented lips/a different shade. I would say the transformation was subtle but very wearable.

Overall: YES YES YES. The Frozen Berries Collection is EVERYTHANG for fall and I can see myself pulling these babies out over and over again (and heck, even now!). My favorite players from collection have to be Barberry and Plum, hands down.

BITE Beauty Fall 2015 Frozen Berries/Opal Crème Collections | Layered

Hi loves! So I received a lot of requests to see the BITE Beauty Fall '15 Opal Crème lipstick and gloss layered over the Frozen Berries Collection. In case there was any confusion, you can rock the Opal Crème lipstick and gloss by itself or over your favorite shade. Personally, I like them as a top coat but hey, you be the judge! To see the original reviews for both collections, click here!

When worn by themselves, they might not be for everyone but as toppers, both the Opal Creme lipstick and gloss are gorgeous and add insane dimension to any shade worn underneath! The only ones who didn't want to play nice with each other were Eldeberry with the Opal Creme lipgloss. Total mess! The photo above was take three and it still didn't play very nice. The gloss caused the lipstick to move and slide all over the place creating bald spots in some areas. I highly recommend applying Eldeberry, then blot with a a paper towel, apply Elderberry again and wait to let it set. THEN apply the lipgloss.

These are launching tomorrow at your local Sephora + Sephora.com!

BoxyCharm | June - Sea La Vie

Hi lovers! I'm back with another month of BoxyCharm - a beauty subscription box that promises 4-5 full size products for $21 a month. Last month's box was amazing so I had similar high hopes for this box! Let's see what was inside.

"Sea life's beauty! Charmers, sail away with us as we take time to coast the open waters for adventure. Don't get tidedown, let the sea set you free just as life should be!"

First in the box is this 20% off to MaLi Beads with a purchase of $50 or more. All of the bracelets are around $30-50 so you'd have to get at least two bracelets to use this deal. The bracelets are super fun and summer-y. I personally love this one!

NCLA Nudes Nail Lacquer in Volume IV ($16) - It's safe to say I'm a pretty huge fan of NCLA. I've reviewed and rocked a ton of their products. Unfortunately, I wasn't as big of a fan of this as I was the others. Right off the bat, I noticed my brush was SO wonky. There were bristles sticking out all over the place. (Note: Just found this tutorial and will try it out!) The consistency was a little on the thick side but was fine otherwise. Volume IV is a gorgeous sandy mauve hue that was the perfect nude for me without washing me out. Love the color!

Doucce Click Click Lipstick in 803 ($24) - Hello gorgeous! Any lipstick that has a clicky button like the pencils in school is awesome in my book. Also, my son loves playing with this. Besides those two facts, the color is gorgeous! 803 is a pretty dusty rose packed with a lot of shimmer!

Wearing Doucce Click Click Lipstick in 803

Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask ($38) - I wish I took a picture of the inside of this. Guys, it's bright green. Think Ghost Buster's Ectoplasm bright green. So freakin' cool. The mask itself is made of milk proteins, plant extracts, seaweed extracts and minerals to tighten the skin, enhance blood circulation and diminish fine lines. I apply this on a dry face and leave on for about 5 minutes. Once it's dry, I rinse with warm water and then go on with my normal face routine.

The Beauty Crop Lightening Crew Highlighting Cream ($16) - All the yes because your girl is super into highlighters right now (who isn't?). This baby is oil-free and lightweight. It's packed with Vitamin C, pineapple and green tea. I use this highlighter on my brow bone, cupids bow, inner corner of my eye and cheek bones.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush ($29.99) - Last but not least, we have this super, soft kabuki brush. This is Bellapierre's best-selling kabuki brush! It is 100% synthetic and really applies the product evenly. I love using this brush for my bronzer!

Overall: Thumbs up! I'm really into this monthly subscription. With some of the others I've reviewed, a lot of months are hit-and-misses but so far, BoxyCharm has knocked it out of the ballpark two months in a row! It's always nice to know that you're guaranteed at the very minimum 4-5 full size products. What were your favorites from this box?

FOREO LUNA Skincare Device | Review

* Sent from Ifabbo / #LUNAbyFOREO

Hi loves! Today I'm bringing you a review of the FOREO LUNA Skincare Device (for sensitive/normal skin)! Skincare is something that has become incredibly important to me since I've gotten older. I truly believe that your makeup will look fabulous when you take care of the canvas (aka your skin) underneath. So let's check this baby out!

The FOREO LUNA Skincare Device comes in three different model for different skin types: pink for sensitive/normal skin, blue for combo skin and white for ultra-sensitive. The differences for each model include different sized cleaning brush surfaces to accommodate that skin type. Each comes with the FOREO LUNA itself, a charger, a manual and authenticity card. A huge plus is that you don't have to buy any replacement heads - like, ever. YES!

I chose the sensitive/normal skin. For the most part, my skin is just normal with some sensitive areas around the t-zone and chin that can breakout easily.

So right off the bat, let's talk about the T-Sonic Technology. With up to 8,000 pulsations per minute, this baby gentle removes dead skin cells and unclogs dirt, oil and makeup residue from your pores. The silicone, for the most part, is soft and non-abrasive. That being said, even though this says to be to be used day and night on the box, I really only recommend using this once a day to once every other day until you really know how your skin will react to being used twice a day. Honestly, I feel that you don't really even need to use it twice a day and using it once to once every other (preferably at night) works just as well.

Another note is that the silicone brush itself is nonporous so you don't ever have to worry about nasty bacteria buildup which makes it 35x more hygienic than others in its category. The LUNA is also waterproof, lasts about 450 uses per full charge (I'm not up to that yet so I'll have to take the info on the site's word for that one) and like I said before, needs no replacement heads.

Lastly, flip the LUNA over to the other side and you'll find the Anti-Aging Mode. This side has lower frequency pulses directed through silicone waves onto wrinkle-prone areas to smooth them out. While my laugh lines and subtle crows feet aren't gone, I do feel that the areas are slightly firmer and are "smoothed out" somewhat. I'll have to update in a few months and let y'all know how that's going.

How I use it:
I've been using this every night with great results. First off, I start off by removing my makeup and applying my favorite cleanser (currently it's the Biore Charcoal Cleanser). Then taking the LUNA on the silicone cleansing brush side, wet, I apply it to my face for about 15 seconds using it in small areas until I have covered my entire face. Then I rinse my face. Next, I turn the LUNA over to the anti-aging waves and apply this to any areas I have wrinkles (around my mouth, temple area, forehead) for about 12 seconds (the pulsations stop every 12 seconds so no worries if you lose count!). Then I apply my favorite moisturizer and off I go!

#MothersPromise | Pampers Premier Care Diapers - Review

* This is a sponsored post for SheSpeaks / Pampers.

I can't believe in just a few weeks, Hunter will be 11 months old. Time has flown by! With that time under our belts, I think it's safe to say: we know diapers. We've had our fair share figuring out which ones worked for him (and us!). We needed a diaper that fit our son comfortably, would work for overnights, wouldn't leak and could hold up to the most insane explosions (I guarantee you it will happen at the most inopportune EVER!)

Although we've tried almost every single diaper brand on the block, Pampers has been our go-to, holy grail, favorite diaper ever! From swaddlers to crawlers, the diapers have grown with Hunter to always provide a comfortable, safe and leak-free fit.

Recently, we were given the chance to try out Pampers new Premier Care Diaper line and naturally, we were all over it! But how do they hold up compared to our normal diapers? Let's check it out!

First off, let me assure you these diapers were put to the test these past few weeks! Besides normal day-to-day use, Hunter unfortunately had Coxsakie all last week and really tested these diapers out, if you catch my drift. I'm happy to report that even though the explosions were, er, explosive, there were no casualties. In fact, there was absolutely no leaking whatsoever. Pretty impressive, if you ask me!

So what makes these diapers different from others? For one, they're softer and seem to hug Hunter's cute little tush a little better. They have breathable material to keep air circulating around the baby's skin. Besides being hypoallergenic, they have extra absorb panels and an absorb-away liner to keep the wetness/mess away from the baby. Lastly, they have that handy-dandy wetness detector line that goes from yellow to blue when it's wet.

You can find Pampers Premier Care Diapers at your local Walmart

ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks | Vice, Midi, Trap, Shimmy & 1stBase - Swatches + Review

Hey little mamas (and papas)! It has been a super cray cray week here and it's just begun. Hunter has hand, foot and mouth and a huge case of the "all I want is my mommy" (rightfully so) so needless to say I've been cashing in on the snuggles because they won't last long. Heavy sobs.

Anyway. This post is alllll about the "nude" lipsticks from the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks line. I've been testing these babies for quite a few weeks now. I really wanted to give you guys a full, honest review so you know exactly what you're buying come their next restock in August they're available NOW

Let's get into the nitty gritty of the formula which I know has a lot of people on the fence. These are ultra matte liquid lipsticks, ladies and gents. Emphasis on ultra matte. I don't know of any liquid matte that doesn't settle or somewhat dry your lips out after a while. I do feel like it performs on the same field as some of the best liquid matte lipsticks out there - but WAY cheaper.

That being said, ColourPop DOES have a uniqueness to this formula. When applied, it goes on like nothing and is really light and cushion-y. For the first few hours, it feels like absolutely nothing is on your lips. Then, getting into the five hour range, they do feel a little dry (the dryness ranges from uncomfy to meh depending on the shade) and sometimes crumbly. I also wanted to note that this lipstick contains 0.11oz of product for $6 compared to Anastasia Beverly Hills and Stila that contain the same amount for $18+.

Onto the "nudes" of the collection!

  • Vice - a pale, warm nude. FINALLY. It's light but it's the perfect nude for my pale boobalas. I love, love, love this shade. It has just the right warmth to it so it doesn't give you what I lovingly like to call "corpse lips" but also doesn't pull orange. It's just perfect for my pale mamas and papas. Coordinating lip pencil: Skimpy.
  • Midi - a soft, neutral beige. Probably one of my top favorites of this whole entire collection. It's like my lips but better. I wore this to a wedding last weekend, it stayed put through drinking, eating and partying the night away. Who am I kidding? I sat at our table and people-watched the whole night ;) Coordinating lip pencil: Skimpy or BFF2
  • Trap - a dusty greige. I feel like this shade is usually really hard to wear. Either it's too brown, too grey and it ends up looking weird. Trap, on the other hand, has the perfect amount of grey/beige/purple that it actually looks flattering on most skintones. High five! Coordinating lip pencil: Tootsi
  • Shimmy - a pale, pastel baby pink. How perfect is this pink? It's the best ballet slipper pink I've come across. It pulls a little blue-toned which is great because it makes your teeth look white. Win/win all around. Coordinating lip pencil: Westie
  • 1st Base - a true, mid-toned pink. I would describe 1st Base as being slightly warm than just your typical mid-toned pink but it's still absolute perfection. Super smooth and flattering. Coordinating lip pencil: Fetch

#ISSAbyFOREO Toothbrush - Review

$

Aw yeah! Your girl is back with another FOREO product - this time it's the FOREO ISSA Toothbrush. This baby looks insane, doesn't it? But for a $199 price tag, is it worth the switch? Let's check it out!

The FOREO ISSA Toothbrush is your electric toothbrush gone 2.0! It's the first reinvention in 60 years and boasts a superior approach to dental care. With silicone bristles and pulsation control at your fingertip, the ISSA offers a super gentle brushing experience customized to how fast or slow you like it.

The ISSA is to be used with normal toothpaste (as long as it doesn't have bleach in it but including homemade tooth powder) as you are basically using it exactly like you would with a normal toothbrush. That being said, you do have to buy a new brush head once a year. There is a button in the middle to turn it on and than a plus and minus sign to turn up the pulsation frequency or lower it to your liking. The silicone bristles are extremely soft - almost too soft but I'll get into that in a sec. The brush pulsates in 30 second intervals, pausing to let you know to change to a different side (or quadrant of the mouth). After two minutes, the pulsations pause three times to let you know you're done which is pretty cool.

My thoughts? I prefer a brush that's a little stiffer with thinner bristles to get in between my teeth. The reasoning, according to FOREO, for soft, silicone bristles is that they use high friction to clean your teeth rather than scrape it off like a normal toothbrush, but I'm still not a fan. After using this for over a month, I have to be honest: my teeth do not feel clean after using it. Like, at all. Total bummer. It has all the makings to be awesome but the actual use it's used for doesn't work for me - or my wallet!

REACH Complete Care Curve Toothbrushes - Review

I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of REACH® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own.

We all do it. Some of us do it a lot and some of us, well, not so much. We should be doing it at least twice a day (once in the morning and once at night). Oh yeah, I'm talking about brushing our teeth, guys!

Now while different people have different preferences (soft, medium, hard, vibrating, etc.) I have been loving the REACH Complete Care Curve Toothbrushes lately! The design is contoured to be able to get every spot in your mouth with ease. The bristles are specially designed to clean at three different angles! Awwww yeah.

My absolute favorite detail from this toothbrush is the curved neck of the brush. Sometimes when I brush my teeth with other toothbrushes, I find my hand at some super weird angles to get into difficult-to-reach spots. With the REACH Complete Care Curve Toothbrush, it allows me to brush those pearly whites easily!

For a guaranteed fresh, clean mouth, I've been using the REACH Complete Care Antiplaque/Antigingivitis Mouth Rinse

Maybe it's because I haven't used mouth rinse in a while (don't you judge me!) but I was pretty impressed with this one. Not only does the top of the mouth rinse have a holder for your toothbrush (Sorry babe! I called dibs!) but it also has a pump and cup for it! Mind officially blown, ladies and gents. The pump dispenses just the right amount so there's no worries about splatter and mess.

Besides having a super cool design, the REACH Complete Care Mouth Rinse comes in a likable flavor - Artic Mint - that doesn't burn off your taste buds with a rinse. It also kills bad breath germs, reduces plaque, helps prevent gingivitis, fights tartar build-up, cleans your whole mouth, foams between teeth, freshens breath AND no burn from alcohol. Phew. That was a mouthful.

REACH also has this really cool program where they'll text you every three months to upgrade so you don't forget! Text "REACH" to 33233!

#WantThatHair | How I #PanteneProtect My Hair with Pantene Pro-V Full + Strong Shampoo and Conditioner

* This is a sponsored post from SheSpeaks/Pantene.
Guys, my hair has been through a lot.

Middle school brought a lot of damage with my obsession of straightening my curly hair with *GASP* no heat protectant. Did they even make that stuff when I was in school? Eh, probably not. I didn't stop the damage there. In high school, I had fun with box dyes going from light brown to red back to dark brown. For a while I stopped using hot tools regularly but my hair was SO thin by then! Lots of it, but no volume. Flash forward to last year, after having Hunter, I think I lost half of my hair due to postpartum hair loss and my hair got even thinner.

Needless to say, when it comes to shampoos, your girl is alllllll about the volumizing ones. And conditioners? Well, honestly, I used to stay away from them. They typically weighed my hair down and make my already thin hair super greasy and limp by the end of the day.

Until I happened upon Pantene Pro-V Full and Strong Shampoo and Conditioner one day in the shampoo aisle at Walmart. Say what now?!

Rejoice, my thin-hair chickadees for there is a conditioner that leaves your hair silky and voluminous. While both the shampoo are BFFS and work together to give my hair strength against damage (and I greatly appreciate it!) and pump up the volume without greasify-ing it, it's the conditioner that's really the finishing act of them both, locking in moisture and nourishing my hair without weighing it down. Ahem, can we also talk about amazing it smells? Ugh. Like citrus-y heaven.

It's such a relief to find a lightweight conditioner that works with my hair and gives me a little oomph at the same time. I highly recommend both the Pantene Pro-V Full & Strong Shampoo and Conditioner if you're looking for a lightweight, cleansing product that won't weigh your hair down and instead oomphs it up while nourishing it.

You can find Pantene Pro-V's Full & Strong line as well as other lines for different types of hair at your local Walmart or on Walmart.com!

What kind of hair do you have? What hair product/tool do you normally have a hard time with?

Hi babecakes! Today I'm back with my second out of five (I think) reviews on the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks (available right meow!). Your girl had to split them otherwise my lips would hate me. In my last review (here), we talked about the "nudes" of the collection and today we are all about those brights!
Overall, the brights had a little bit of a longer wear time than the nudes (about nine hours). I also noticed that with some of the nudes, you could get away with two thin coats while with these that was near impossible without them getting crumbly once they dried. I would highly recommend not layering these and only applying once until they've fully worn off. I didn't notice any bleeding with any of these shades which is amazing in my book! They were slightly drying, but like I said in my nudes, I wouldn't say they were more drying than any other matte liquid lipsticks I own.

(Excuse the different skin tones - I swear it's all me - but I wanted to make sure the swatches reflected the true color of the shade.)
  • Pacific - a true bright orange. Pacific is one of those shades that just screams summer to me. I would describe it as more of a bright melon. Coordinating lip pencil: Chi Chi
  • Ouiji - a bright color red. I would describe this as more of a watermelon pink. I have no clue why it's said to be a bright red. Like at all. Maybe pulling a little towards to coral side. Coordinating lip pencil: Trixie
  • Succulent - an electric neon orange-red. Another must-have! Significantly lighter and brighter than Creeper. Coordinating lip pencil: Frenchie
  • Creeper - a true classic blue-toned red. Think Taylor Swift-pin-up-cherry red. While I really love all the shades, this is definitely top five material. I also expected this to bleed going into the wee hours, but am happy to report it didn't!
  • Avenue - a deep yellow red. An autumn must-have! It's a fun mix of a cherry red and a Bordeaux shade that can be worn all year round! Wait. Do people actually do that? Have shades of lipsticks that they only wear in certain seasons? Yikes.
Overall: The reds of ColourPop's Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks collection are to die-for! My faves are: Succulent, Avenue and Creeper! Which ones are yours?

BoxyCharm | August - Gorgeous Globetrotter

Hey sugars! I missed July's BoxyCharm (eek, don't hate me!) but I'm back with August's and let me say - it's pretty damn awesome!

What's BoxyCharm, you ask? BoxyCharm is a beauty subscription that comes to your doorstep every month with 4-5 full size luxury items for $21 a month. While that might sound a little more expensive than other subscription services, consider that you're getting guaranteed four full size products every month while compared to Ipsy where it's only $10 but they're usually smaller samples. The promise of full sized products alone totally got me hooked on it!

Coastal Scents Revealed 3 Palette($39.95 - on sale right now for $19.95) - HOW. AMAZING. IS. THIS. PALETTE!? This palette comes with 20 all-new, super pigmented and smooth shadows that are perfect for fall. I mean, just look at them, all jewel-toned and pretty. I was pretty impressed with the pigmentation from this palette as well. Little fall-out from the mattes and those metallics are just insane.
Basically, I used all the red-tones on my eyeballs for this look. SA - WOON!

MicaBeauty Gel Eyeliner($35) - The good news? This liner is amazeballs! Super slick, dries matte and is the blackest of blacks. Bad news? For $35, you can probably find cheaper. I'm just being honest. Granted for the ladies and gents that got this in their BoxyCharm, it's a total steal and holy grail-status and high-fives all around to us but as amazing as it is, I'm sure you could find something that works just as well for cheap.

Seta Eyeliner Brush ($16) - A gel liner and a brush to go with it in the same box? Oh, BoxyCharm, you spoil us! While I've only used this brush with the MicaBeauty one above, I have to say it applied it like a dream. Pretty precise and smooth. I'm pretty stoked to add this brush to my collection!

So Susan Statement Skin ($20) - Stop reading this review (but come back afterward!) and go order this highlighter right meow. Swoon, swoon, swooooon! While I'm not familiar with the brand "So Susan" if this highlighter is any indication of the quality of these products, you bet I'll buying the whole collection! This highlighter crayon is super smooth to go on and has a really pretty, light champagne glow to it. I think this might be my new fave highlighter.

Nios Shield Leave-In Conditioner ($26) - Lastly, we have the only "fail" in the entire box and that's just because I personally am not a fan of leave-in conditioners. Heck, I just found a conditioner I like (and likes me back - it's mutual!) so I'm a little weary of leave-in conditioners right now. That being said, it smells wonderful. Let me know what you guys think!

ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks | Lychee, Zipper, Tulle, Limbo & LAX - Swatches + Review

Hey munchkins! Today I'm bringing you installment tres of the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick swatch-a-thon. Previously, I swatched the nudes and the reds but today it's all about the purples/darks. Let's go!

Okie dokie, my loves. So out of these five, I really only had two troublemakers: Lychee and Zipper. Both applied kind of streaky and patchy. Zipper bled within a few minutes of application as well. Tulle is a freakin' allstar though and unique in color. You need this lipstick in your life. Right now. Limbo and LAX are also pretty amazing and I recommend them as well. Tulle, Limbo and LAX played pretty well and all lasted around the six hour mark.

  • Lychee - a bright, warm violet. The picture does this no justice. It's way more bright in real life (see the arm swatch for a truer portrayal). That being said, it did apply patchy at times. I think this one of those shades where if you love it enough, you can make it work.
  • Tulle - a dusty, mauve burgundy. HELLO GORGEOUS! Lip pencil: Lady
  • LAX- a vampy, darkened red. Lip pencil: Creature
  • Zipper - a deep, blackened purple. Lip pencil: Leather
  • Limbo - a deep, chocolate brown. Lip pencil: Pitch

Part four of five - almost there - of the ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks Collection! PHEW! So far, we've reviewed/swatches the redsthe nudes and the purples/darks - run and check them out if you haven't already ;) Alrighty. Today we're doing the pinks/lights!

  • Donut - a bright peach. Who doesn't want a lipstick called 'Donut'? Right? Just me? Okie dokie than. Donut pulls slightly orange on my pale skin but I still think it's wearable and fun.
  • Solow - a neutral nude pink. I think Solowi is Donut's slightly cool-toned sister. So if you're a little worried about Donut pulling orange-y on you, Solow is the way to go. It's the perfect "your lips but better" shade.
  • Bumble - a dusty warm terracotta. Bumble is SUCH a fun and unique color! I love that it pulls a little brick-y but is rosy at the same time. It's got some brown tones, red tones, pink - it's basically got everything!
  • Seesaw - a pastel lavender pink. Seesaw is just one of those shades that works universally on everyone. Is it groundbreaking? Eh, not really. But it's always nice to go back to the basics with a pretty light pink.
  • Koala - a vibrant pastel lavender. Sweet Lord, this is NEON in real life, guys. Koala is amazeballs if you're looking to stand out in a crowd.
