Beauty | New Year, New Me w/ Neutrogena

Hey guys! I can't believe we're three weeks into the new year already, can you? Have you made any resolutions? I'm not normally one who does but I made a few. One being to get my skin looking healthy. The second is to break out of my comfort zone a little bit more. So, today I'm doing just that! I've partnered up with Neutrogena® to share with you my "New Year, New Me" look - but with a little glam twist.

Let's do this!

• First things first, hydrated, smooth skin is always a great base for a great make up look! I like to use a gel moisturizer and gently massage it in.

• For foundation, I've been using the Neutrogena® Healthy Skin® Foundation (I'm in the shade Classic Ivory) recently and I've been super impressed! It's been my go-to foundation as it preforms super well and is a perfect match for my skintone which can be tough to find some times. The price point is awesome for the high quality you get and I can find it easily at my local Walmart in the makeup aisle. Did you know the Neutrogena® Healthy Skin® line is great for all skin types and even claims to evens out your tone and texture. All of that in one? Yes, please! 

• To apply the foundation, I dotted it all over my face with my finger and then with a damp beauty sponge, I started to blended the foundation in, making sure to blend down my neck and near my ears for a seamless appearance. 

• To add some warmth back to my face, I used the Neutrogena® Healthy Skin® Bronzer in Bronzed and, with a fluffy bronzing brush, applied this to my forehead, cheeks and down my neck.

• For blush, I took the Neutrogena® Healthy Skin® Blush in Rosy, which is a gorgeous neutral pink - perfect for that winter flushed look! - and applied that to the apples of my cheek and just a light swipe on the nose.

• I didn't forget about that highlight! With a highlighting brush (or even your fingers!), I took my light champagne-colored highlight and applied to the tops of my cheekbones, my brow bones and my cupid's bow.

• Next, for the eyes, I started with a nice, matte skin-colored base. This helps neutralize the lid and give an even base to work with. Next, I took a light taupe-y brown into my crease. This transition shade helps the other shadows we'll be working with blend together. Next, I took a slightly darker brown and took that into my crease as well, also working this down into my outer v of my eye. After that, I took a super glittery eyeshadow and patted that onto my eyelid with my ring finger. I find patting a glittery eyeshadow with your finger is one of the best ways to get the most color pay off. 

• For finishing touches, I added a light champagne inner corner to make my eyes look brighter. I also curled my lashes and applied a few coats of the Neutrogena® Healthy Lengths Mascara in Black Brown. I'm a tough one to impress with mascaras but I really liked the consistency of this one! Lastly, I wanted a bold look for my lips so I went with a dark matte berry shade and applied that carefully to my lips.
